Welcome to the University of Arizona's Noyce Scholars homepage!
The goal of the Noyce Scholars Program is to increase the number of science and mathematics teachers prepared for teaching careers in high need schools. If you are interested in making a difference in young people's lives by becoming a science or mathematics teacher at the middle or high school level, please click here to learn more about this program supported by the National Science Foundation.

* The Noyce Scholar award has recently been raised. Beginning Fall semester 2009, we will award $10,000 per year in forgiveable loans to eligible Noyce Scholars.

High Needs Districts:
For the purposes of this program, the National Science Foundation (Program Solicitation NSF 05-528) defines a high needs district as one that meets at least one of the following criteria:
